It is my great pleasure to announce that during the past week a brain surgery using a stereotactic system was performed at the Neurosurgical Clinic in Skopje.

This is a minimally invasive procedure carried out with the help of a special frame that is placed on the patient’s head. Then, using specific three-dimensional calculations, the exact location of the intervention inside the head is planned, and tissue material is taken for analysis.

To achieve this result, we previously underwent preparations with a team of experts from Brazil – Prof. Manoel Jacobsen Teixeira from the University of São Paulo, as well as engineer Mr. Antonio Martos Calvo.

The working team consisted of Dr. Robert Shumkovski, Dr. Ivica Kotsevski, Dr. Lulzim Agai (neurosurgeons), and Dr. Radmila Pangovska (anesthesiologist).
